The mining company has achieved a ‍remarkable turnover of ⁣8.4 billion FCFA in ⁣12 years, with a​ national plan that has generated ‍almost⁣ 1,804⁢ billion FCFA in turnover. ‌Moreover, the company has created over 1,500 indirect jobs in the Essakane mine, contributing significantly ⁢to the local economy.

Tidiane Barry, CEO of IAMGOLD Essakane SA, emphasized ⁤the importance of promoting local content in the Sahel ⁣region. He highlighted ⁢the company’s multifaceted approach, which includes a well-defined strategy for promoting local purchases nationally and‍ in​ the Sahel region. The company has set objectives⁣ to accelerate the dynamic of securing the greatest possible economic benefits in the ‍Sahel region and in Burkina Faso as a whole.
