Empresas Polar launched a major corporate initiative aiming to foster the creation of 1,000 new enterprises across Venezuela over the next 15 years. According to coverage from Banca y Negocios, El Estímulo, and El Pitazo, the program rolled out alongside the company’s 85th anniversary celebrations. The effort seeks to provide structured business training, capital access, and supply chain integration for emerging entrepreneurs.
Program Structure and Training Rollout
The initiative operates across three distinct tracks to support business creation. The initial phase features a mass business training program that starts in October. This curriculum is entirely online, free, and self-guided. The coursework consists of nine modules designed with input from leaders at Empresas Polar. The lessons draw on experience in mass consumer markets, combining data science, innovation, and consumer insights. Beyond education, the initiative offers two additional avenues for selected projects. An independent jury will choose promising ventures for non-reimbursable seed capital and personalized mentoring. The third track focuses on integrating new suppliers into Empresas Polar’s existing value chain across multiple economic sectors and geographic regions.
Leadership Objectives and Registration Details
Company executives framed the project as a long-term investment in the nation’s economic framework. Lorenzo Mendoza, Executive President of Empresas Polar, noted the strategic shift during the announcement.

“Estamos en una nueva etapa donde la empresa privada será fundamental”
“El emprendimiento en Venezuela es vigoroso en ideas y débil en oportunidades”
Daniela Egui, General Manager of Fundación Empresas Polar, emphasized that participation requires no prior business experience. According to Egui, candidates need only a solid concept, high-impact vision, and dedication to quality. Completing the mass training track provides participants with a competitive edge when applying for subsequent funding and seed capital tiers.
