Actor Eric Dane, known for his roles in Gray’s anatomy and Euphoria, recently shared that he has been diagnosed with ALS. The announcement comes after years of Dane being open about his struggles with sobriety and depression.
Dane, 52, revealed his ALS diagnosis in April. He expressed gratitude for his family’s support as he faces this new chapter. he also noted his intention to continue working, including filming the upcoming season of Euphoria.
The actor has two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart. In the past, Dane has sought treatment for prescription drug addiction and depression, adding to the challenges he has faced.

In June, Dane spoke with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America about his ALS diagnosis. “I wake up every day and I’m immediately reminded that this is happening. It’s not a dream,” Dane saeid, emphasizing the reality of his condition.
Despite the diagnosis, Dane remains optimistic. “I don’t think this is the end of my story. I don’t feel like this is the end of me,” he stated.

Dane also addressed his departure from Grey’s Anatomy, suggesting it was not entirely his decision. “I didn’t leave so much as I think I was let go,” he revealed,acknowledging his struggles at the time.
