Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has added a limited-edition Maybach Virgil Abloh to his already extensive car collection, reportedly costing around £400,000. This purchase further cements Haaland’s status as a prominent automotive enthusiast, bringing his total supercar investments to over £10 million, according to multiple reports.
The Maybach, named after the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh, is one of only 150 models available worldwide. Haaland was spotted driving the vehicle in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, according to SportBible. The car features a distinctive two-tone exterior, combining glossy obsidian black on the top half with a sandy color on the lower portions and wheel rims.
Abloh, who passed away in 2021, served as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton and founder of Off-White. His design influence is evident throughout the car, with his logo appearing on the center console, rear cushions, and head restraints. The digital interface also includes a branded home button, highlighting the car’s limited-edition status.
The Maybach S-Class edition boasts a twin-turbo 6.0L V12 biturbo engine, capable of reaching a top speed of 155 mph and accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
Haaland’s Expanding Car Collection
This latest acquisition adds to Haaland’s impressive collection, which already includes a £160,000 Porsche 911 GT3, a £350,000 Aston Martin DBX 707, and a £300,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Goal.com reports that he also owns a £250,000 Mercedes Maybach, a £2.7m Mercedes AMG One, a £130,000 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe AMG 63 S 4Matic, and a Ferrari 812 Superfast.
In October 2025, Haaland reportedly spent approximately two days’ wages – £250,000 – on a matte green Lamborghini Huracan, capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Only 1,499 of these models are available. GB News noted this purchase marked the eighth luxury vehicle in Haaland’s collection.
Haaland’s penchant for luxury vehicles comes despite earning a reported £500,000 per week with Manchester City. According to GB News, the Maybach purchase represents more than half of his weekly salary being spent on a single item.
The Manchester City striker has enjoyed a prolific run of form, recently stating he feels in the best shape of his life. He has scored 14 goals in 10 games across all competitions, according to Goal.com, and attributes his success to both physical and mental preparation.
