Esperance stuns Sun Downs and sets a date with Al-Ahly

Esperance of Tunisia qualified for the final of the African Champions League, after defeating its host, Sun Downs of South Africa, 1-0, on Friday evening, in the second leg of the semi-final.

The first leg in Tunisia ended with Esperance winning 1-0, before the Tunisian team succeeded in repeating the result in the return match, winning 2-0 on aggregate.

In the final match, Esperance will meet with Al-Ahly of Egypt, which beat Congolese Mazembe 3-0, in the second leg of the semi-final, after the first leg between them ended in a goalless draw.

The match was stopped from the 24th minute, and for more than an hour, due to heavy rainfall and its impact on the field, so the players of both teams returned to the locker rooms and then the match resumed.

Raed Bouchniba scored the only goal of the match for Esperance in the 57th minute.
