PARIS – France’s top diplomat has voiced support for a review of the European Union’s association agreement with Israel, citing the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. Jean-Noël Barrot, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, described the Netherlands’ call for a reassessment as “legitimate,” urging the European Commission to investigate whether Israel is adhering to the human rights provisions stipulated in the agreement.
