Europe heats up: 697 people lost their lives

Madrid: In Europe, the death toll is rising due to extreme heat. The second heat wave hit the country last day. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that 697 people have lost their lives.

169 people died on July 17 alone. 430 of them are over 85 years old. 159 people aged between 75-84 have died. According to the Ministry of Health, 58 people are between the ages of 65-74.

Meanwhile, the weather report says that the hot season has started to end in the country. However, the weather department advises the people to be cautious as the heat is likely to rise. In countries including Spain, the temperature is reported from minus degrees to below 10 degrees Celsius.
