Accordingly, Sokcho Medical Center plans to hold a second application for the other two within this month. It is known that one person who applied for the interview on this day has been working in the emergency room since May, and the recruitment results will be officially announced on the 24th.
The emergency room at Sokcho Medical Center has been operating only four days a week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) since last 1st due to a shortage of doctors as three out of five emergency medicine specialists have resigned recently.
Accordingly, the first recruitment was conducted from the 27th of last month to the 6th of this month, but there were no applicants, so the second recruitment notice was published from the 6th of last month to today. In particular, in this second recruitment round, an unconventional condition of an annual salary of 420 million won was offered, an increase of about 100 million won from the previous one. As of 2021, as announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s regional basic public hospital notice, the average annual salary of workers in local medical centers is known to be about 237.83 million won.
Previously, Sokcho City and Sokcho Medical Center requested cooperation in operating the emergency room at Sokcho Bokwang Hospital to prevent civil confusion due to the shorter operation of the emergency room at the medical center. In addition, an emergency evacuation system has been established so that serious patients such as patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases can be moved to Gangneung Asan Hospital and Gangneung Medical Center without delay from the 119 ambulance and Bokwang Hospital.
