President Moon Jae-in said on the 11th that “the number of daily confirmed cases has exceeded 2,000, and there is a lot of concern.” President Moon said this at a staff meeting on the same day, Blue House spokesman Park Kyung-mi said. On this day, the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded 2,223, the highest since the first confirmed case in January last year, showing the spread of the virus every day. There is a growing sense of crisis as there is widespread confusion in vaccination plans, such as delays in the introduction of modern vaccines and vaccines.

However, President Moon said, “The recent increase in the number of confirmed cases is a global phenomenon due to the spread of delta mutations, and Korea is still maintaining a relatively better situation than other countries.” However, he emphasized strengthening quarantine and vaccination, saying, “If the current spread of infection is not stopped, it can be a turning point for the number of confirmed cases to increase further.”
