Born in the Solukhumbu region, the heart of the Sherpa community, Rita first conquered Everest in 1994 while working for a commercial expedition. Since then,he has climbed the 29,032-foot peak almost annually, guiding numerous clients.

“I am more happy that my climbs help Nepal be recognized in the world,” Rita said.
