Sydney: Exciting end to the fourth Ashes cricket Test between England and Australia. England drew 1-1 on the final day of play at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Steven Smith bowled the last over for Australia as the fast bowlers were unable to bowl due to lack of light. James Anderson equalized with a strong defense against Smith.

Pat Cummins’ vice-captain Steven Smith was sent off after the umpire ruled that the pacers could not bowl the last three overs due to lack of light. Smith last took a Test wicket in November 2016. Smith defended the captain’s trust by putting Jack Leach on the defensive and handing him over to David Warner.

The Australians dreamed of leading 4-0 in the series. Stuart Broad (8) made no mistake against Nathan Lyon in the 101st over. England drew level in the final over when Jimmy held on without giving in to pressure. Zack Crowley (77) and Ben Stokes (60) scored half-centuries for England in the second innings.

Usman Khwaja, the Australian who scored a century in both the innings, was the man of the match. The hosts are 3-0 up in the five – match series. The fifth Test is scheduled for Friday in Hobart.
