Exciting Moments in the New Zealand Super Smash T20 League: Wellington Blaze vs. Central Circle

Wellington: The match between Wellington Blaze and Central Circle was an exciting one in the New Zealand Super Smash T20 League. The highlight of the game was Wellington’s Dutchman Logan van Beek over. The player gave 33 runs in five balls. So many runs were given away including no balls and wides. Four sixes are included in the over. Not only did two balls go wide, but a no ball was also bowled. And he won Central District with Logan over.

Now another video of the same game is going viral on social media. Cricket fans are taking Nick Kelly to task for dismissing Central Region star Will Young. But the hero of the catch is another fielder, Troy Johnson. Troy chased after Young to catch the ball as he lifted it to the ground. The effort paid off. Troy ran in from behind and got the ball in his hands. But he lost control and fell to the ground. He caught the ball just as his body was about to touch the finish line in the fall and threw it back. By then, Nick Kelly, who was running, caught the ball in his hands. Watch the video

A great catch was made but Wellington lost the game. After winning the toss, Wellington scored 147 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Logan scored 41 runs off 24 balls and led the team to a competitive score. Mohammad Abbas scored 25 runs. At one stage, Wellington were reeling at 48 for four. But Abbas and Logan’s innings benefited the team. The Central Region got off to a good start in reply.

Logan dismissed top scorer Jack Boyle (57) but could not control the runs in his final over. When Logan came to bowl the 17th over, Central District needed 33 runs to win. Doug Bracewell was at the crease. Logan’s first ball is wide. That ball was a boundary. One run each off the next two balls. Another wide followed. Central District got eight runs off the first two balls.

The next ball is a six, and then a no ball. Then the three balls flew for six. Logan celebrated the Central Region win with one ball to spare.

Just came up, another record for Rohit’s name! Virat Kohli is nowhere near
