The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and Etihad Airways signed the Abu Dhabi Stopover project at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. Accordingly, passengers have the option of adding Abu Dhabi as a stopover and choosing a complimentary hotel when booking tickets on Etihad Airways.
This stopover program is being launched with the aim of putting Abu Dhabi on the international tourism map. It gives visitors the opportunity to visit the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, get to know the country and enjoy the diversity.

Etihad CEO Antonoldo Neves said the aim is to bring more than 100,000 visitors to Abu Dhabi next year by 2025 through the stopover programme. Neves said they will understand what the capital has to offer and they will come back for more.
