Tropical Cyclone ’Podul’ Enters Monitoring Stage, ‘Fabian’ Exits Philippine area of Duty

The Philippine atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical services Administration (Pagasa) is closely monitoring tropical cyclone “Podul” as it approaches the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).Once inside the PAR, it will be named “Gorio.” Meanwhile, “Fabian” has already left the PAR, weakening into a “remnant low” early saturday.
Podul’s Current Status and Forecast
As of 11 a.m. today,”Podul” is located 2,155 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon and is currently moving west northwest.
Pagasa notes a significant degree of uncertainty regarding the storm’s future track and intensity. Any shift in its path, either northward or southward, could dramatically alter its projected strength. Therefore,continued monitoring of Pagasa’s advisories is crucial.
“There is large uncertainty in the projected track and intensity of Podul from Monday through the end of the forecast period sence any northward or southward shift in the track forecast will significantly change the intensity forecast. All are advised to continue monitoring subsequent tropical cyclone advisories for Podul,” the whether bureau’s bulletin stated.
Fabian’s dissipation
Tropical cyclone “Fabian” exited the PAR at 1 a.m. on Saturday. It further weakened into a “remnant low” just an hour later, indicating its diminishing threat.
