Kochi: Based on the life of Sister Rani Maria, Shaison P. The songs from the film ‘Face of the Faceless’ directed by Youssef have reached the Oscars 2024 shortlist. Film songs and background music were chosen for the competition category.
Three songs composed by Alphonse Joseph for the film were nominated in the Original Song category. The songs Ek Sapna Mera Suhana, Jeltha Hai Suraj and a song composed by Tanima from Madhya Pradesh tribal group are on the list.
Face of the Faceless is the first film to get a nomination in the song category from Indian films in 2024. It is produced by Sandra D’Souza Rana under the banner of Trelight Creations. In the press conference, said director Shaison P. Ousef, music director Alphonse Joseph and Tad Stanlin participated.
