Fair Rent Project in Independencia: how and when to apply

What is the Fair Price Lease program?

It is a line of the Minvu housing policy promoted in the context of the “Housing Emergency Plan” that seeks to generate a massive park of public housing to rent to lower-income familieswho meet the requirements of the Housing Rental Subsidy Program (DS 52).

In addition, prioritization criteria related to the social and/or housing vulnerability of the families, the condition of victims or in a camp situation are incorporated. Likewise, quotas are established for the priority attention of families from the commune where the project is developed and belonging to various socioeconomic realities according to the Social Registry of Households (RSH).

How much will tenants pay?

The monthly rental amount will be set by the administration under protected rental criteria. being able to establish a maximum income that does not exceed 25% of income of the tenant.

Who will select the families?

The administration of each project will select the families or tenant groups. A waiting list of people interested in renting may be maintained.

How long will tenants be able to stay?

They will be able to stay as long as the rental subsidy allows, around eight years.which may be extended if they are in the process of applying for a subsidy for the purchase of housing.
