Family Communication Programs and Performances at Suseongmot
The city of Daegu organized the festival to highlight the value of diverse families. The event featured interactive programs including children’s activities, family games, youth performances, and multicultural participation shows. An interactive cotton candy performance show allowed children and their families to take part directly.
Younger participants joined a random dance play challenge through advance registration and on-site sign-ups. In the Switch Family tournament, family teams competed against each other in Nintendo Switch games.
Main Stage and Multicultural Shows Promote Cultural Diversity
Multicultural performances introduced visitors to different traditions through a pungmulpae sangmo play, a dragon dance show, and a panda show. These performances gave local residents and family visitors an opportunity to experience cultural diversity.
The main stage, designated as the ON Family Concert, hosted youth band performances, emotional music dramas, and a DJ festa. Daegu City Youth, Women and Education Bureau Director Jeong Eunju stated that the event aimed to cross generational and cultural boundaries.

The event operates as the Family Festa, also known as the Republic of Korea Low Birth Rate Countermeasure Expo. The exhibition and festival format focuses on overcoming low birth rates, improving public awareness, and building a family-friendly social environment. Daegu City pursues these family communication and generational exchange policies in response to shifting family structures and multicultural backgrounds.
