**South Gyeonggi Police Agency Investigates Father’s Involvement in Hwaseong Infant Abandonment Case**
The South Gyeonggi Police Agency’s Women and Youth Division has recently taken up the case of a father involved in the tragic incident of Hwaseong Infant Abandonment. The biological father, known as Mr. A, is currently under investigation on charges of aiding and abetting child abuse.
According to reports, in January of last year, Mr. A’s father allegedly assisted the birth mother, identified as Ms. B, in arranging a meeting with three adult men and a woman at a cafe in Seoul. Mr. A was present at the location where the baby was handed over to the individuals involved.
During the course of the police investigation, Ms. B’s mother revealed that she had found someone on the internet willing to take her daughter on December 25, 2021, shortly after she gave birth to the baby girl in a Seoul hospital. Eight days after the birth, the infant was handed over to the unidentified individuals.
Authorities suspect that Mr. B, who has been working part-time, committed this heinous act due to his belief that he couldn’t adequately care for the child on his own. As of now, it has been reported that both Mr. A and Mr. B are living together.
Police have stated that Mr. B has provided a detailed statement regarding the sequence of events, but further investigations are being conducted to verify the accuracy and credibility of his account.

In January last year, A’s father is accused of aiding and abetting the baby’s birth mother, B, to meet three adult men and a woman in a cafe in Seoul and watch the exit by being present at the place where the baby passed.
B’s mother previously said in a police investigation that she found someone who would take her daughter on the Internet on December 25, 2021, after giving birth to a girl in a hospital in Seoul, and transferred the 8-day-old baby on after giving birth.
The police believe that Mr B, who has made a living by working part-time, committed the crime because he thought he could not bring up a baby on his own.
At the moment, it is reported that Mr. A and Mr. B living together.
The police said that Mr B made a detailed statement about the circumstances at the time, but that they were carrying out a detailed investigation to confirm the credibility.
