The FBI is increasing its focus on two prominent cases from the Biden governance: the 2023 White House cocaine discovery and the 2022 Supreme Court leak concerning the Dobbs ruling. Deputy Director And bongino announced the intensified efforts on Sunday.
Bongino stated that he and FBI Director Kash patel decided to re-evaluate several potential public corruption cases that have drawn important public interest. This led to the decision to reopen or allocate more resources to these investigations.
The White House cocaine incident occurred in July 2023, when a substance was found in the West Executive Avenue entrance lobby. The Secret Service closed its investigation due to a lack of physical evidence.
Separately, the Supreme Court’s investigation into the leak of the draft dobbs v.Jackson opinion failed to identify the source. The leak preceded the overturning of Roe v.Wade, sparking considerable controversy.
In addition to these cases, the FBI is escalating its investigation into the pipe bombs planted outside the Democratic and Republican party headquarters in Washington, D.C., on January 5. The FBI released new footage of the suspect earlier this year but the case remains unsolved.
bongino said the FBI is “making progress” in these investigations and urged anyone with information to contact the bureau.
