Fernando Alonso “Triple headers are at the limit for F1 teams”[F1-Gate .com]

Fernando Alonso says the current F1 “triple header” of competing in three distant nations will be the “limit”.

Fernando Alonso has joined people complaining about the weird and difficult logistics of the late-season schedule, after complaining about the burden triple headers put on the team in the last few years.

“It’s clear that only Verstappen and Hamilton are fighting for the championship, and it’s been a very long season with such a move at the end,” said Fernando Alonso.

“Triple headers are not the most convenient way”

With the triple header starting last weekend in Mexico and moving to Brazil this weekend and then to Qatar in three weeks, there will be two more races left in 2021.

“Each race is about 12 hours apart by plane, and it’s important that the team and mechanics maintain their energy,” said Fernando Alonso.

“They pack everything up late into the night to catch a plane going to Brazil, unpack everything again and set up a garage. They’re at their limits.”

“We have to find a better solution for the calendar.”

“Austin was only an hour and a half from Mexico City, but still two weeks ago. It’s strange that some races are two weeks away and others are on different continents.”
