After Wen Songnan was diagnosed, he stopped working and received treatment. He underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and electrotherapy, but his condition was stable, and he was once forced to kneel and sit due to severe pain. He said when he heard he had cancer, he didn’t feel anything special, but he was very calm:

“Because I didn’t react properly, I spent a few days back home, feeling more and more anxious and worried. I also had to think how to explain it to my company, family, and friends.”

Due to his illness, Wen Songnan’s income decreased after he stopped working, and the medical expenses were expensive. He publicly raised money for medical expenses on social media. He also said that the biggest burden at the moment is the cost of X-rays, because public hospitals have to wait half a year for reports, and private X-rays cost tens of thousands to twenty thousand, and X-rays are needed partly too. :

“In the short term, I need hundreds of thousands to cover my medical expenses for several months.”

Despite facing huge difficulties, Wen Songnan still maintains an optimistic attitude. When interviewed by the program “QK Yuying Room”, Wen Songnan was smiling and full of fighting spirit throughout the whole process:

“But I sorted it out quickly. After a few days, I wasn’t thinking about it anymore. I reminded myself that at least I can still see my friends and be happy. I don’t have to think how hard my life is.”

Currently, Wen Songnan is undergoing her 17th electrotherapy session, which requires a total of 28 sessions. He said the hardest thing was that it was very painful to lie down for electrotherapy The first time he had electrotherapy, it was so painful that he groaned.

“After I finished drying my glasses, it seemed that I had no feeling in my feet. I was so shaken that I got out of bed and knelt down for about ten minutes to calm down.”

At this time, Wen Songnan needs to take painkillers and morphine to relieve pain, however, the amount of morphine not only increases, but also cannot completely relieve pain, which makes it hard ok But he still maintained his positive energy and thanked those who have always supported him:

Ewing’s sarcoma is also known as Ewing’s sarcoma and undifferentiated reticulocyte tumor. Originating from primitive cells in the bone marrow, it is a common malignant bone tumor affecting young people aged 10-15 years. It is more common in children and teenagers, and is more likely to occur in the long bones of the limbs, pelvis, and long tube bones. Patients will experience localized pain and tenderness, elevated skin temperature, skin flushing, and superficial vein distention and filling. The swelling grows rapidly, and there may be a fever and an accelerated erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Pathological fractures are rarely associated. X-rays show that Ewing’s sarcoma manifests differently, depending on the location of the event. Pathological examination can confirm the diagnosis. The pathological tissue images showed diffuse proliferation of small round cells, the cytoplasm of tumor cells was rich in glycogen, and PAS staining was positive.

Treatment methods are mainly radiotherapy, surgery, and chemotherapy, and the combined effect is better than single treatment. After radiotherapy, the tumor shrinks rapidly and the pain is relieved. However, radiotherapy cannot prevent its development and metastasis. For solitary lung metastases, chemotherapy after lobectomy or local radiotherapy can reduce symptoms and prolong life. As long as the tumor is resectable, it should be resected with moderate amounts of radiotherapy plus multidrug chemotherapy.
