Kochi: Due to severe financial crisis, Kerala Blasters has temporarily suspended the activities of women’s football team. The team will have to pay a huge amount as they have been fined by the All India Football Federation. With this, the activities of the women’s team were temporarily suspended.
Blasters released a detailed note in this regard through the official page and social media. In the first season, the Blasters women’s team performed well. This time, Blasters got the penalty while the performance of the women’s team has to improve.
During the play-off match against Bengaluru FC in the ISL, Blasters players walked out in protest. Following this, the AIF turned against the team and levied a fine. With this, the team entered a financial crisis. Blasters explained that the activities have been temporarily suspended and that they will come back strong.
