Finneas and Ashe Form The Favors, Announce Debut Album “The Dream”
Musicians Finneas and Ashe are joining forces as the Favors, a newly formed band. The duo announced their collaboration Monday via Instagram, revealing that their debut album, The Dream, is slated for a Sept. 19 release. The first single, “The Little Mess You Made,” will be available this Friday.
In their joint statement, Finneas and Ashe expressed their excitement about the project. “We deeply loved making this music together in secret and can’t wait for it to finally make it’s way to you,” they wrote. The proclamation included a photo reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours album cover.
Finneas further elaborated on his Instagram story, noting that he and Ashe have been working on the album for 18 months. he also praised the contributions of David Marinelli on drums and Ricky Gourmet on guitar, adding, “I love being in a band.”
The new band, The Favors, marks another chapter in Finneas and Ashe’s collaborative history. They previously worked together on Ashe’s 2019 EPs, Moral of the Story: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, as well as the single “Till forever Falls Apart” from Ashe’s 2021 album, Ashlyn.
earlier this year, Finneas completed a tour across the U.K., Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and North America in support of his second studio album, For Cryin’ Out Loud, wich was released in October.Ashe released her third album, Willson, in September.
