Recently, a fire broke out on a Delta Air Lines flight that landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, forcing passengers to evacuate.
On the 13th (local time), KOMO News Seattle obtained and reported on video showing the chaotic scene at the time.
The video showed flames exploding under the cockpit and black smoke rising immediately after the Delta Air Lines plane landed at around 9:35pm on the 6th of last month.
A spokesman for the airport told the media that there were no problems during the landing process, but problems arose after connecting the plane to the terminal’s electrical grid. The explanation is that the electronic device was damaged, causing sparks to fly and catch fire. The aircraft in question where the fire occurred was investigated as an Airbus A321.

At the time of the fire, most of the passengers had not yet disembarked the plane. The media reported, “The pilots smelled smoke and ordered the crew to release the emergency exit slide.” Accordingly, the passengers opened the emergency exit and went out onto the runway through the inflatable slide. It was found that around 120 passengers were evacuated in this way.
“I think people are panicking,” said Ashwin Minon, a passenger who was returning from a holiday with his wife. “I even heard people pushing in the aisle to get to the exit first. “But overall, the evacuation process went smoothly,” he said of the situation at the time.
Fortunately, the fire did not spread further and he went out on his own after a while. Fire officers checked the passengers for injuries at the scene. Fortunately, it was determined that no passengers were taken to hospital.
The airport said, “The aircraft has been grounded for inspection and maintenance,” and “The short-circuited electrical cord has been repaired and is operating normally.”
