Ford launched its own charging pile, but Tesla users ridiculed it

Article source: Qooah.com

Recently, Ford (Ford) installed a new charging station at the dealership. This was originally a normal thing, but Tesla fans ridiculed Ford cars.

Tesla fans say that Ford’s plan to deploy electric car charging stations at dealerships is a “bad” imitation of Tesla overcharging stations. The reason for this is that Ford’s newly deployed charging piles are very similar to Tesla’s super charging piles, but these charging piles are second-generation charging piles, and their performance is not as good as Tesla’s DC fast charging or super charging stations.

A Tesla user named “MarcoRPTesla” has been regularly posting information related to Tesla’s supercharger station. He posted a photo of the Ford charging station with a sarcasm saying, “Hey, look! A new supercharger station.” I opened it at Ford’s dealer in Dover.” It is implied that Ford copied the exterior design of Tesla’s charging station.

Another Twitter user named “The Kilowatts” also posted a post mocking Ford’s charging pile as “the gorgeous-looking L2 AC charging pile” and not a better-performing L3 DC charging pile.

Ford is not at fault in deploying charging piles at its dealers, but some extreme fans will mock the Ford charging piles because they look like Tesla’s super charging piles, and their performance is not as good as Tesla.

In fact, Ford’s charging pile just looks exactly like Tesla, but the core technology inside is developed by Ford. Ford has also cooperated with Electrify America, Sunrun, Ionity and other charging networks for this purpose.
