The increase in tourism wasn’t just in numbers; spending also saw a meaningful boost. Tourists spent 14.1% more then last year, totaling 10.826 billion euros for the month.
The first four months of 2025 have seen 25.6 million international tourists visit Spain, a 7.1% increase from the same period in 2024. This follows a strong first quarter, with 17.1 million tourists and 23.5 billion euros in spending.
The United Kingdom, France, and Germany remain the top countries of origin for tourists. April saw 1.6 million visitors from the U.K., 1.3 million from Germany, and 1.3 million from France, representing increases of 11.1%, 13.7%, and 10.5% respectively.
