This Saturday, December 2, at the offices of the Provincial Presidential Delegation of Cardenal Caro, located in the commune of Pichilemu, the transfer ceremony was held for the newly appointed delegate Josefina Toro Rodríguez, as the first provincial authority, being the representative of President Gabriel Boric in the territory.
The new provincial delegate of Cardenal Caro, with Patricia Torrealba -seremi of Government- who served as substitute delegate.
The first part of the instance was chaired by the person who acted as deputy provincial delegate, the Seremi of Government, Patricia Torrealba, who pointed out after completing the transfer, “what is done is to appoint someone who is from the territory, which has to do with territorial justice, and obviously we hope without a doubt that a person who is in the territory, who lives in the territory will be able to have a better reading of what is happening and of course, will have all the support every time that requires it.” Let us remember that the previous delegate Carlos Cisternas resigned from the position in October of this year, in order to be able to run as a candidate for mayor of Santa Cruz or another coastal commune:
“I would like to thank the community of Cardenal Caro, its mayors, the neighbors, that although we were there for a short time it was with a lot of contact, I learned a lot, today we have a view not only as a regional authority but also the view of what happens in the territory,” he added.
Josefina Toro Rodríguez, is a civil construction worker by profession, and until before her appointment, she worked as the person in charge of planning and projects in the DPP of Cardenal Caro, since 2000. After the ceremony that was attended by the mayor of Pichilemu, Cristian Pozo, among other authorities, Josefina Toro, expressed feeling, “very proud of this mandate that the President of the Republic has given me, but we cannot stop there, we know that the work is coming on the ground with the people who live in this province. by Cardenal Caro.”
“I fulfill my mandate to tour the province and meet the needs as best as possible to be able to provide the inhabitants of the province with an improved quality of life (…) I will be working in the field and sharing with other services for better work for the community” , he added.
