Chennai: Former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikanth criticized Chennai Super Kings captain Rituraj Gaekwad for not being included in the Indian team for the Twenty20 World Cup. Srikanth has also not caught the inclusion of Shubman Gill in the list of reserve players. Srikanth also openly said that Gill was included in the team even though he did not shine in any format.
“Shubman Gill is not in form. Then why take him in the team. Rituraj Gaekwad deserves a place in the team. No doubt about it. He is a player who scored more than 500 runs from 17 innings. He scored a century against Australia. Shubman Gill is a favorite of the selectors. Even if you fail in batting, you will surely get a chance.
