Lingard attended the press conference to join FC Seoul at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the afternoon of the 8th and expressed his expectations for continuing his career as a player in Korea. However, people in England are still skeptical about Lingard’s decision to go to Korea.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan said on the UK’s ‘Talk Sports’ program on the 9th that Lingard was ‘wasting time’.
“Lingard is wasting his career and his chances,” said Jordan. “It was the same at Nottingham Forest. And Lingard spent a lot of time improving his appearance even when he played for the world famous football team called Manchester United.
