Former professional baseball player Jeong Soo-geun (46) was accused of assaulting a man he first met through an acquaintance while drinking.

According to Namyangju South Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 6th, a special injury complaint was filed against Jeong Soo-geun on the 2nd.

In July 2008, he was sentenced to a fine of 7 million won and indefinitely banned from the KBO for assaulting an apartment security guard while drunk in Busan. He caused controversy related to drinking during his time as a player, and even after retirement, he caused controversy for constant drink driving and was sentenced to prison in 2022.
