A former soldier accused of forcing his wife to appear on adult television has been arrested by police.
Incheon Yeonsu Police Station announced on the 1st that it had arrested Mr. A, a man in his 30s, on charges of coercion, confinement and threats. That day, the police arrested Mr. A at a hospital in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Mr A is accused of confining wife B to the home from 2021 to last year and forcing her to film sex videos and appear in adult shows. It was reported that Mr A threatened Mr B, which he refused, saying: “I will send the naked photo to my father-in-law.”
Mr B died in early December last year, leaving a suicide note, and the grieving family lodged a complaint against Mr A with the police. After receiving the complaint, the police received Mr. B’s mobile phone, conducted digital forensic work, and searched and seized Mr. A’s house in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is known that Mr. A, who was a professional soldier, was forcibly discharged after sharing illegal videos online.
A police official said: “After investigating the allegations against Mr A, we will consider whether to apply for an arrest warrant.”
