Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn made a highly anticipated debut for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) during the taping of “AEW Collision” in Glasgow, Scotland on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The appearance, confirmed by fans on social media,was met wiht significant enthusiasm from the local audience.

While Dawn’s initial outing resulted in a loss too Megan Bayne, the significance of the moment – wrestling in her hometown under the AEW banner – resonated deeply with fans.
From WWE Release to AEW Potential
Dawn’s journey to AEW began with her release from WWE in February 2025, as part of a larger wave of talent cuts that also included Sonya Deville, The Authors of pain, Paul Ellering, Blair Davenport, and Cedric Alexander as reported in February. She initially joined WWE in November 2017, participating in the Mae Young Classic the following year.
Her most notable success within WWE came alongside Alba Fyre, forming “The Unholy Union.” The duo captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships at Stand & Deliver 2023 and later achieved a major upset by winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at Clash at the Castle in Scotland in June 2024, defeating Jade Cargill and Bianca belair. While Fyre remains with WWE as part of Chelsea Green’s Secret Service, Dawn’s path led her to AEW.
Future with AEW Still Unfolding
As of the “Collision” taping, it remains unconfirmed whether Dawn has officially signed a contract with AEW. Though, reports surfaced in July 2025, suggesting she was on track to join the company following the expiration of her 90-day non-compete clause after her WWE departure.
