Foul Play Suspected: Saudi Newspaper Raises Eyebrows Over Fahd Al-Mawlid’s Mysterious Accident

Fahd ⁢Al-Muwalad Accident: Saudi ‍International Player ⁢in Critical Condition

Saudi Al-Madinah newspaper ​reported that Fahd ‌Al-Muwalad, a⁤ player with the Al-Shabaab club, is suspected of criminality in ‌the accident that left​ him seriously injured. The 30-year-old fell⁤ from the balcony of his house in Dubai last Thursday.

According to ⁢the newspaper, Al-Mawlid was in Dubai ​on leave​ from his club after participating in the 2026 World Cup⁣ qualifiers with the Saudi national team.

A personal friend of​ Fahd ⁤Al-Mawlid discovered the incident when he couldn’t ⁣find him at‌ home. He searched‌ for him everywhere inside the house and found him under the porch, immediately‌ calling the‌ police.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry confirmed ⁣that Al-Mawlid was admitted to intensive care⁤ in Dubai after the accident. ⁣The⁢ Saudi‍ Consulate in Dubai stated that it is monitoring the⁢ investigation with the Dubai Police General Command and wishes to⁤ clarify‍ that⁣ the player’s health status is being monitored.

Al-Mawlid was involved in‍ the accident after featuring for his country in⁤ the Asian qualifiers for​ the 2026 World⁢ Cup. He ​played as a substitute against Indonesia and ⁤China.

The Dubai Media Office ‌reported that the generator fell from the balcony of ⁤his second-floor home while on a short vacation ‍in Dubai. The player’s health is under observation, and he is under‌ intensive care at a hospital in Dubai.

The ⁤Al-Shabaab club⁢ sent its ⁤president to Dubai to‍ assess the medical condition ⁣of the player, who is in ‌a critical condition​ with​ severe fractures in various⁢ parts of his body.

Al-Mawlid, who grew up‌ at ⁤Al-Ittihad Club in Jeddah, played for his club between 2011 ⁤and 2022, scoring 17 goals in 74 international matches. He previously had a ⁣short professional experience at​ Spanish club Levante in the second half of⁣ the 2017-2018‌ season.

Al-Mawlid was suspended twice due to his consumption of stimulants. The first was for ‌one ‍year between⁤ 2019 and 2020,⁢ and the second was ‌for 18​ months between March 2022 and September 2023, which led to his exclusion​ from the Saudi national team squad ⁤for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
