A dog was found on the road with two broken legs near Bela Vista, a municipality 322 kilometers from Campo Grande, and needs help. The “Champion” was rescued on Saturday, in the middle of the highway, while trying to get up and was attacked by ants, in addition to having ticks.
The person who found him went to the Military Fire Department in the city, which helped him find a veterinary clinic.
On Sunday, he was brought to Campo Grande, but he was extremely weak, which suggests that he had been starving for a long time, before being run over. The doctor who consulted him even suspects that they are pathological fractures, that is, due to the diseases he contracted. Another hypothesis is that the hit-and-run caused the problems.
The costs of exams, medication, blood bags, per diems and surgery on both front paws already exceed R$ 5,000.
“I kindly ask anyone who can to help us with the amount they can to have the surgeries on both legs so that the Champion can walk again, experience a life with affection and care, as he never had and forget the past marked by abandonment and the cruelty of human beings. We will do everything for him!”, said journalist Caroline Maldonado.
