Pauline Adeyemo has become the fourth person evicted from the Big Brother house following a public vote, exiting the ITV series amid a wave of tension that brought 1,654 complaints to broadcasting regulator Ofcom. Viewers had been voting to save either Pauline or Rob after both housemates landed at risk during tense face-to-face nominations earlier in the week. Upon leaving the house, Pauline was greeted by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, thesun.co.uk reported.
Addressing the hosts, Pauline reflected on her turbulent time inside the house and her clashes with fellow contestants Catrin and Rochelle. No one’s ever sure what’s going to happen next. Just be humble,
she told AJ Odudu and Will Best. She admitted that being called a bully deeply affected her, stating that the moment broke her and reminding viewers that she is human and not a robot. A broadcasted video prior to her eviction showed her reconciling with Rochelle.
Rob and Pauline Receive Most Nomination Votes
The nomination process exposed deep divisions among the contestants, resulting in high figures for both targeted individuals. Rob received a total of six votes from Frankie, Lynx, Omar, Philip, Rhianna, and Yasmin. Meanwhile, Pauline accumulated five votes from Lynx, Philip, Rhianna, Rochelle, and Catrin. The mounting hostility inside the shared living space spilled over into viewer reactions outside.
Between September 30 and October 5, Ofcom recorded 1,654 complaints concerning the show. Episode 16 alone generated 1,191 complaints following a heated argument between Rochelle and Johanne. That clash followed earlier friction regarding microaggressions, ultimately driving intense public engagement with the program.
ITV Removes Clip of Pauline Receiving Warning
Controversy also surrounded an official social media post that was abruptly removed by the broadcaster. ITV initially uploaded a clip documenting a formal warning issued to Pauline after her confrontations with Catrin and Rochelle. The disciplinary action required Pauline to sleep in the snug after being called into the diary room.
Fans flooded the comments section to question why Rochelle Rackham had not received a broadcasted warning for her part in the altercations, accusing the network of censorship. In a statement provided to The Sun, ITV addressed the removal: We monitor audience comments on all of our posts and in this instance the post in question was generating an excessive level of comments deemed to be inappropriate, and as such was removed.
Support For Remaining Housemates
Despite the conflicts, Pauline expressed affection for earlier evictee Johanne, noting that she spent a full 24 hours refusing to speak to anyone after Johanne left and that her former co-star still holds a place in her heart. She also touched upon her dynamic with Twinks, remarking that while Twinks is taken and would not speak of romance, her co-star has a naughty side and brought out a different aspect of her personality.
As her journey on the show concluded, Pauline named her preferred successors to the trophy. She stated that she wanted one of her riders—specifically Rob, Sam, or Harry—to win the entire series.
