Boulder’s Frasca Food and Wine, an Italian fine-dining destination, secured the prestigious Outstanding Restaurant award at the James Beard Foundation ceremony in Chicago on Monday. The restaurant, located at 1738 Pearl St.,was the only colorado establishment to win,despite the state boasting six nominations.

this marks the fourth James Beard Award for Frasca, a celebrated restaurant known for it’s remarkable service and wine program. The James Beard Foundation awards celebrate culinary excellence, outstanding restaurant service, and the best chefs in the nation.
Bobby Stuckey, co-founder of Frasca, expressed his gratitude while accepting the award, acknowledging the hard work of the restaurant’s staff, including executive chef Ian Palazzola, and the support of their patrons. The Outstanding Restaurant award recognizes a restaurant that demonstrates consistent excellence in food,atmosphere,service,and hospitality.
“We thank you, because our industry is freaking gorgeous,” stuckey said from the podium. “I love that the James Beard Foundation gives this beautiful industry this night.”
Stuckey concluded his acceptance speech with a “Buona sera” to the audience.
frasca’s previous James Beard wins include awards for outstanding service in 2019, outstanding wine program in 2013, and best chef in the then Southwest for Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson in 2008. The restaurant’s commitment to quality and innovation has solidified its place as a culinary leader.
