This comes at a time when the newspaper “Sport” reported that there was a crisis facing the deal. Ter Stegen suffered a serious knee injury in the Barcelona-Villarreal match in the Spanish league.
The German goalkeeper has undergone knee surgery and will miss Barca for around 8 months. According to press reports today, Barcelona approached Szczesny to compensate for Stegen’s injury.
