Fujairah Ruler Grants Eid al-Adha Pardon to Prisoners

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of fujairah, has ordered the release of 112 prisoners from Fujairah’s correctional facilities. The Eid al-Adha pardon aims to provide these individuals with a fresh start.
The prisoners, representing various nationalities, were chosen based on their good behavior during their incarceration. This act of clemency reflects Sheikh Hamad’s commitment to offering prisoners an opportunity to reintegrate into society and bring happiness to their families.
Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed bin ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah police, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Hamad for the pardon.Al Kaabi said the gesture will allow the released prisoners to rebuild their lives and positively contribute to the community.
“[This gesture] will enable the released prisoners to start new lives, contribute to their community, and show good behaviour,” Major-general Al Kaabi said.
