Notably, the Beijing team did not utilize their men’s doubles pair, Liu Yuchen and Feng Yanzhe, in this game. The Fujian team dominated the match, allowing the Beijing team to secure only one game in the second set, ultimately winning 2:0.
Lin Zhichao initiated the Fujian team’s victory by defeating Zhao Wenbo in a single match, securing the first point. The subsequent match saw the Fujian team’s He Jiting and Ou Xuanyi pair defeat Xiao Songyuan and Wang Xiaokai 21:17, 22:20, extending the total score to 2:0. Wu Zhilin sealed the victory by defeating Liu Chenxi 21:13, 9:21, and 21:18 in the second single match.
As the two oldest players on the team, Ou Xuanyi and He Jiting played together for two games in this team competition. He Jiting praised Ou Xuanyi, stating, “I feel that Brother Ou has a good mentality, talks more, and is much more cheerful than before.” Ou Xuanyi also shared his experience, saying, “After returning to the provincial team, I felt that there was not so much pressure, and I had to continue to learn more things.” Both players emphasized the importance of setting an example for the younger players and instilling confidence in their ability to win on the court.
The Fujian women’s team will face the Beijing team on the afternoon of November 3, launching an attack on the team championship. The Fujian team has made minimal adjustments to their lineup, with Han Yue, Zheng Xinyan, and Wu Litong competing in the singles competition. Huang Dongping and Yan Chenxue will serve as the doubles pair, while Tan Ning and Chen Yingying will compete as the second doubles pair.
