Fujifilm launched the Instax mini Evo Cinema camera on January 14, 2026, a hybrid instant and digital camera inspired by the design of Super 8 cameras. The device allows users to record video and convert it into instant photographs.
The camera’s design draws inspiration from Fujifilm’s Fujica Single-8 cameras, originally released in 1965.
The vertically oriented Instax mini Evo Cinema records 15-second video clips. Users can then extract frames from these clips and print them as Polaroid-style instant photos. Each photo includes a QR code linking to the full video. Photos can be edited before printing using a dedicated camera application.
