2024 China Basketball Open: A New Era for Mass Basketball Events
On September 10, the 2024 China Basketball Open (CBO League) held a press conference in Beijing, marking a new era for mass basketball events in China. The event is hosted by the Chinese Basketball Association, with Shenzhen Basketball Sports (Beijing) Co., Ltd. as the organizer, and Huati Events (Beijing) Sports Management Co., Ltd. responsible for promotion and operation.
The CBO League was founded in 2005 and has since become a national large-scale mass basketball event, profoundly influencing the field of mass basketball events. Starting from 2024, Shenzhen Basketball Sports (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Huati Events (Beijing) Sports Management Co., Ltd. have reached a strategic cooperation to build a high-level national basketball event covering the whole year for basketball fans.
Xu Jicheng, vice chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, emphasized that this cooperation reflects the two sides’ common pursuit of the concept of “People’s Basketball”, bringing unprecedented development opportunities to the Open and promoting the improvement of event quality and service level.
Zhao Xianglin, assistant to the president of Huati Group and general manager of Huati Events (Beijing) Sports Management Co., Ltd., stated that Huati Events is committed to promoting the development of Chinese basketball and revitalizing the three major ball sports together with the Chinese Basketball Association and Shenzhen Basketball Company. Since the beginning of this season, Huati Events has made significant efforts in planning and preparation, aiming to bring a better experience to players and spectators and create more ”milestone” event nodes.
Beijing Enterprises Club player Yi Jinhong attended the press conference as the CBO League star promoter, hoping to inspire more basketball fans to bravely sign up for the CBO League and pursue their dreams on the highest mass event stage.
To create a more outstanding mass basketball event brand, the CBO League has launched several new initiatives. The event is open to mass basketball enthusiasts nationwide and will be held in 32 cities across the country. Players will go through preliminaries, regional competitions, national finals, and women’s championships to determine the national champions of the men’s and women’s groups.
The CBO League has undergone a comprehensive brand renewal, incorporating elements with Chinese characteristics such as dragon claws and battle flags, presenting a younger, more trendy league brand image with Chinese cultural connotations to the public. The tournament has launched a new slogan – “Gather all strength and passion”, emphasizing the 2024 China Basketball Open’s strong appeal to gather everyone’s strength to fight for the basketball dream together.
The CBO League has received support and help from many parties, including Jiangsu Yanghe Brewery Co., Ltd., Fuguan Zhenyi (Shanghai) Cultural Development Co., Ltd., Dali Food Group Co., Ltd., Xiamen Peak Trading Co., Ltd., Beijing Hongrun Yuanji Trading Co., Ltd., Yishengtang (Beijing) Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Qimei Daily Necessities Co., Ltd.
The event’s operation and promotion unit, Huati Events (Beijing) Sports Management Co., Ltd., has held a signing ceremony and a plaque awarding ceremony with the event’s partner companies, demonstrating the good momentum of powerful brands empowering mass basketball events and providing a strong guarantee for the successful holding of the event.
The release of the new season’s jerseys and basketballs has received widespread attention, and the new equipment will bring players a better game experience.
