Full-Throttle Training: Thailand’s Futsal Team Gears Up for World Cup, Arus Makes Daring Comeback Bid
Thai National Futsal Team Prepares for Futsal World Championship 2024
On September 11, 2024, at 5:00 pm (Thailand time), the Thai national futsal team trained at the Bukhara Olympic and Paralympic Training Center to prepare for their opening match against the Croatian national team in the Futsal World Championship 2024.
The training session marked the return of Arus Senbaat, the team’s goalkeeper, who had been recovering from a previous injury. The session lasted for about an hour.
After the practice session, Arus Senbaat expressed his confidence in his recovery, stating, “We have to adapt to the weather and the playing field. I’ve been here for a few days, and my physical condition is improving. I believe I’ll be fit in time to help the team in the first game against Croatia, a strong team. We must plan to fight and collect the first three points.”

Miguel Rodrigo, the head coach of the Thai national futsal team, commented on the team’s progress, saying, “The last two practices were a bit heavy, and the concentration may not be high yet. However, the players are doing well, and today was better than yesterday. After rest, the athletes have time to adapt, and many have now adapted to the weather and food. Apart from that, there’s nothing to worry about, and we have good news: Arus Senbaat’s physical condition and injuries are improving.”

Rodrigo also shared his strategy for the upcoming match against Croatia, stating, “Croatia has big and strong forwards. We will play defense using our strengths, trying to squeeze their upper zone and stop their invasion. If we can’t attack, they can’t set up the game. We will be able to overcome and give us a chance to control the ball. This is the key to using a strategy to play it. I want athletes to have the courage to go up and push in Croatia’s territory, putting pressure on them in the upper zone.”
