The family of Nahashon Kamau Wanyoike, a Kenyan national residing in the United States, has launched a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of repatriating his body to Kenya for burial. The effort follows the discovery of Wanyoike’s body in Green Lake, Seattle, after he had been reported missing for approximately two weeks.

The financial appeal is being conducted through a GoFundMe page, as the family seeks community support to manage the expenses associated with international repatriation. The family stated that Wanyoike, known to many as Kamaa, expressed a desire to be returned to his home country.

Circumstances of Death and Investigation

Wanyoike was found dead at Green Lake Park in Seattle. His family had spent two weeks searching for him prior to the notification that his body had been recovered. An investigation into the circumstances of his death is currently underway and the family is awaiting the results of an autopsy report.
