‘Galaxy Awesome Unpacked’ held on the 17th… Mid-low price line released

Samsung Electronics will hold ‘Galaxy Awesome Unpacked’ online at 11 pm on the 17th and will unveil new models of the ‘Galaxy A’ series of smartphones aimed at the mid- to low-end market.

According to the industry on the 11th, Samsung Electronics is planning to send an invitation to the Galaxy Awesome Unpacked on the 14th. It is the second time this year that Samsung Electronics is holding an unpacked event for the Galaxy A series, which is a mid-priced line.

It is known that Samsung Electronics will sequentially release five types of Galaxy A13, A23, A33, A53, and A73 in the first half of this year. Prior to the official launch of the 2022 Galaxy A series, Samsung Electronics released Galaxy A23 and A13 product information in advance through its mobile press site earlier this month.

According to the industry, Samsung Electronics is expected to release the Galaxy A33 and A53 this month, and the A13, A23, and A73 in April and May. Samsung Electronics first launched the Galaxy A13 in the US market in December last year.

The Galaxy A series to be released this year is characterized by the fact that all models support 5G. Some models are also released with products for LTE communication. Counterpoint predicts that 5G smartphone market shipments will increase by 39% from 580 million units last year to 870 million units this year. This year, 5G smartphones are expected to become mainstream, accounting for 54% of total smartphone sales.

In addition, the new Galaxy A series is expected to expand the high-performance waterproof, dust-proof, and stereo audio support provided only in the existing flagship smartphone models.

At the end of January, Samsung Electronics announced in a conference call for the fourth quarter of last year, “The mass model will build a full lineup of 5G to actively absorb the demand for 5G replacement and strengthen the core experience of users to create more global mega-hit brands.” .

The A73, the highest specification among the Galaxy A series, is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 750G processor and a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The camera is expected to be equipped with a 32-megapixel punch hole front (selfie) camera and a quad camera on the rear. The main camera is equipped with 108 million pixels for the first time in the A series. It is also expected to be equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. The battery capacity is expected to be 5000mAh.

The Galaxy A53 is expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate on a 6.5-inch FHD+, super AMOLED display. The AP is expected to be equipped with an Exynos 1200 AP. The rear quad camera supports a 64-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. The front camera is 32 megapixels. The A53 supports 25W fast charging, 5000mAh battery capacity, and stereo audio just like the A73. Memory and storage are estimated at 256GB with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB △8GB of RAM.
