Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Election: BJP wins by a landslide

The BJP has won a landslide victory in the first elections since the removal of the state chief minister and ministers.

New Delhi: The BJP has won the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections in Gujarat. While the BJP won 41 of the 44 seats, the Congress won only two and the Aam Aadmi Party one. The BJP has won a landslide victory in the first elections since the removal of the state chief minister and ministers. State BJP president CR Patil said the election results were a testament to the confidence of the people of Gujarat in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Karnataka Yeddyurappa’s son in charge of by-elections

Bangalore: The BJP leadership has given the charge of Yeddyurappa’s son BY Vijayendra for the Karnataka by-election. The by-polls for Hangal and Sindhi constituencies will be held on the 30th of this month. Earlier, Vijayendra was not included in the list of ministers included in the cabinet reshuffle. Leaders of the Yeddyurappa faction had expressed their displeasure against this. Later, it was decided to give the charge of Yeddyurappa’s son for the by-election.
