Celebrations Erupt in Hostages Square

Laurence Ytzhak, a 54-year-old resident of Tel Aviv, shared the profound emotions of⁣ the moment. “We have been waiting for this day ⁤for 734 ⁤days. We cannot imagine being anywhere else this morning,” Ytzhak stated, reflecting the long period of fear and uncertainty experienced by families and the nation.

While expressing immense relief, Ytzhak also acknowledged the complex emotions surrounding the deal. She described ⁢a mixture of joy, anxiety, fear for those still awaiting ⁤release, and sorrow for the families⁣ who may not experience the return ⁤of⁢ their loved ones.

She noted the emotional impact of the potential return, stating, “As I speak to you, ‍I get goosebumps… it’s too lovely, and we cannot help but think of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for these hostages.”
