KBS announcer Kim Do-yeon apologized for using the expression “five trillion five hundred” on a live radio broadcast.
Announcer Kim Do-yeon appeared on KBS Cool FM ‘Breakfast Morning’, which was broadcast live on the morning of the 23rd.
On this day, Kim Do-yeon explained the correct way to store leftover canned ham. If stored in the original container, it can be exposed to bacteria and microorganisms.
In the process, he said, “I feel sorry for people living alone,” he said.
In response, listeners left comments saying “Apologize” for the remark through the real-time chat window. Five trillion five billion is a word that expresses the meaning of ‘a lot’, but it has been known to be used in some male-hating communities to demean sperm count.

After the broadcast ended, Kim Do-yeon said through her Instagram story function, “First of all, thank you to those who let me know through comments and DM. It was a recording, so I only recognized it through comments.” But, I never imagined that it would be used in that sense.”
He then apologized, “I don’t usually read entertainment articles.” However, the post was deleted after a while.
Kim Do-yeon, born in 1990, is an announcer for KBS 45th. He is appearing in KBS1’s ‘News Plaza’ and KBS2’s ‘I Like Movies’.
