Limerick Community Mourns loss of Geraldine Lee Hamilton
Limerick, Ireland – The Limerick community is mourning the loss of Geraldine Lee Hamilton, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at University Hospital limerick.
Hamilton, a resident of Windsor Court, Castletroy View, and formerly of 15 East Singland Road, garryowen, was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a profound impact on those who knew her.
“Geraldine was a truly special person,” said a close friend. “Her smile could light up a room, and her heart was always open to helping others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.”
Hamilton is survived by her loving husband, John, her children Cyril and Jennifer, son-in-law Seamus, grandchildren Lee, Shea, aimee, Emma, Lauryn, Luke, and Sonny, and great-granddaughter Maddison. She is also survived by her brothers Michael, Walter, and cyril, her sister Mary, nephews, nieces, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.She was predeceased by her sister Rita.
A Requiem Mass will be held in her honor at St. Patrick’s Church, Clare St, Limerick on Saturday, December 14th at 12 noon, followed by a cremation service at 2:00 pm at Shannon Crematorium. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of choice.
