MADE IN KOREA THE K-POP EXPERIENCE: The Next Generation UK Boy Band Production Project

SM Entertainment and MOON&BACK MEDIA have collaborated on a new project, “MADE IN KOREA THE K-POP EXPERIENCE,” a UK boy band production project that is currently being distributed on “Channel K” on Prime Video.

This project brings together five talented individuals from the UK, selected through auditions held in the summer of 2023. The members, JAMES, DEXTER, OLLY, REESE, and BLAISE, are set to debut as the boy band “Dear ALICE” and have already gained a significant following on social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.

The five members traveled from the UK to Korea, where they were given lodgings in Itaewon and attended the “SMTOWN” concert, meeting with RIIZE in the dressing room. They also received advice from WayV’s TEN on how to perform on stage. However, their excitement was short-lived, as they were soon faced with the harsh reality of their 100-day stay in Korea, during which they would have to perform a different performance every week and be evaluated by training director Yoon Hee-jun.

The members undergo rigorous training in a foreign land with a completely different culture and way of thinking. The evaluation criteria of SM Entertainment, the world’s leading K-POP company, will be revealed, and it will be interesting to see how they evaluate these five members.

Another highlight of the show is the appearance of artists from SM Entertainment, including EXO’s Suho and RIIZE’s Anton. Super Junior’s Shindong also visited the group’s accommodation, comforting the members and teaching them drinking etiquette in Korea.

The program is available on Prime Video’s “Channel K,” with five of the six episodes currently airing. Don’t miss the birth of K-POP’s newest star.
