Tourism in Fort Kochi is set to receive a boost with the Rickshaw Run, which kicks off today. This exciting journey will take participants from Fort Kochi to Shillong in Meghalaya, covering a distance of 3500km over 15 days.
The Rickshaw Run, led by Advent Tourist in the UK, has attracted participants from around the world, including the UK, USA, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. A total of 174 foreigners in 74 cars will embark on this adventure, with about 40 women participating. The cars, painted in vibrant colors, are sure to turn heads as they make their way to Shillong.
The Rickshaw Run is not just about the thrill of the journey; it’s also about giving back. The money raised during the trip will be used for voluntary activities, making it a unique blend of adventure and philanthropy. The participants have been in Fort Kochi for the past four days, preparing for their epic journey.
